The Big Picture

The library is one component of a project proposed for 15 acres at the intersection of Oak Park Boulevard and Monticello Avenue, currently referred to as "Oak Park Properties". The proposed project includes demolition of the existing library; construction of a new library;  a 34-unit single family home development; and creation of a public park with two sports fields.

Construction of the new library is expected to begin late 2019 with anticipated completion in 2021. Rendering above is the view of the library at dusk from the ballfields.
