Oak Park Properties & the new library

The library is one component of a project proposed for 15 acres at the intersection of Oak Park Boulevard and Monticello Avenue, currently referred to as "Oak Park Properties". The proposed project includes demolition of the existing library; construction of a new library;  a 34-unit single family home development; and creation of a public park with two sports fields. Construction is expected to begin late 2019 with anticipated completion in 2021. Rendering above is the view of the library at dusk from the ballfields.

Library Design update! On March 18, architects presented the Design Development documents for the library to the City Council. Click here for a PDF of the presentation. Click here to watch the meeting.

On March 26, the Planning Commission held a study session to review residential subdivision plans and proposed development standards for the proposed Oak Park homes. The project proposes 34 single-family homes and seven attached accessory dwelling units on the site of the existing Pleasant Hill Library; a new library will be built on an adjacent 5-acre parcel. The study session begins at 6:30 p..m. in the City Council chambers. Click for more information.
