Citizens Academy

The Pleasant Hill Citizens Academy is a six-session program designed to inform and educate Pleasant Hill residents and business owners about the various roles and responsibilities of each City Department; City Council decision making and the legislative process at the local level; opportunities to volunteer with City Commissions and Committees; and how the budget process works.

Participants attend five 2-3 hour sessions at City Hall and take a 2 hour tour through the city. Upon completion of the Academy, participants will receive a certificate at a City Council meeting.

The first Citizens Academy will be held from late September to mid-October 2018. The Academy is currently full (with a waiting list).
