Citywide Garage Sale

Don’t Trash It – Sell It!” That’s the tagline of the 3rd Annual Citywide Garage Sale. Organized by Allied Waste Services and the Civic Action Commission, this event gives residents the opportunity to hold their garage sales on the same weekend and get free promotion from the City and Allied Waste. Residents can register their sale at www.pleasanthillgaragesale.com. The organizers will publicize the streets (but not house numbers) which are hosting a sale that weekend. 6:30 am – Registration opens for the Firecracker 5K Fun Run by the Clock Tower on Crescent Drive
7:50 am – 100 yard dash for kids 7 and under
8:00 am – Firecracker 5K Fun Run (Starts by the corner of Gregory Lane and Trelany Road, in front of City Hall. (SEE ROUTE MAP at http://phjuly4.com/5k-run-route/)
The net proceeds of the run are donated to the Pleasant Hill school of the runner’s choice. This is a great way to support our schools while having fun on the 4th. Click on the 5K Run above for more information about registering online.

The 2018 Parade Grand Marshal is Ryan Joseph! Because of the wonderful community response to assisting Ryan and his family after his injury, the theme of the 2018 Pleasant Hill 4th of July is “Pleasant Hill – A Community United”. Participants in the parade are encouraged to incorporate this theme into their entry.
10:30 am – 1:30 Party in the Park at Pleasant Hill Park
After the parade walk over to Pleasant Hill Park for food (Back Forty Texas BBQ, IzzyA’s Frozen Custard, Cool Spoon Vending, Gotta Love Kettle Corn), kid’s games and activities (face painting, sack race, a giant slide, & more!), and enjoy listening to The Indecision Band on stage! Buttons Z Clown will be back as will the water melon eating contest! Country Music Artist, Singer Songwriter Allie Sealey will be on hand to sing the National Anthem a little after 11:30 AM.
6:30 pm – Gates open at College Park High School
The site of the spectacular Fireworks show will again be College Park High School. Come for dinner and stay for an amazing display! Slow Hand BBQ, IzzyA’s Frozen Custard, Cool Spoon Vending, and Slice of Italeigh Pizza Truck will be selling their delicious food and desserts.
7:15 pm -This year local band The Ripplers will be playing prior to the start of the fireworks show.
9:20 pm approx. – PyroSpectacular fireworks show begins!
The 4th of July is on a Wednesday this year, so many residents will be in town to enjoy this popular event. Come down and join the fun!

14th Annual Community Service Day

Hundreds of volunteers converge on Pleasant Hill Park for a free Pancake Breakfast by the Lions Club, receive a free event T-Shirt and then disperse to work on more than twenty community cleanup projects around the City of Pleasant Hill.
